A rant about my favorite team in baseball the Cubs and an objective look into baseball in general.

May be a good luck charm.

Out of the last 10 games I've gone to at Wrigley, I've only witnessed one loss. Maybe they can turn it around and get on course. Doubt it, but hope is the only thing we cub fans have. My proposed changes to the team: Matt Murton and Glendon Rusch for Torii Hunter. Torri has just given his okay to waive his "no-trade" for the cubs and bo-sox.The reason he gave the no-go to these teams was they featured brick walls. Reading into this a bit, I think he would be willing to play left for the cubs. Before you tell me go to hell, it would work out nicely for both teams. The twins problem is relief pitching, they have absolutely no left handers in the bullpen. Lew Ford is a natural CF holding on to LF till Shannon Stewart gets healthy. The twins will be off the hook for 4 1/2 million, and Stewart will be elgible for FA. Murton is the type of player the twins covet: cheap young talent. We shall see....

    Torri Hunter in LF?

Again, please put down the pipe . . .they are 13 games out of first place. This season would have to last will into 2011 for them to ever catch up. Keep Murton . . . bring up Pie . . . lose Jones, Walker, Perez, Rusch, and Barrett. Then move onto Wood and Prior. Zambrano and Lee are your only untouchables!!!! Think big . . .

Oh yeah, Esteban, rumblings have it that a well known superstar that pays his state income tax about 10 mins from the town of Grafton may be implicated in using HGH. I'm not pulling your leg, just heard it 10 mins ago.

National sports radio program. They had interviewed a Dr/researcher whose specialty is HGH and steriods for therapy in orthopedic rehabilitaion. He had seen some of the "weird" injuries that occur if the dosages are off, if not done correctly or not closely monitored by a licensed PT. They kept trying to lead him into direct statements about Bonds, and the likes including your boy but he would not make a definitive statement. Though he could not with a degree of medical certainty rule out that HGH could be a factor for the type and severity of injuries.
