A rant about my favorite team in baseball the Cubs and an objective look into baseball in general.

The Cubs invade Chavez ravine.

I've had the privlege to catch a game at historic Dodger stadium. Got to wolf down 2 dodger dogs. Had a Wrigleyesqe feel inside the concourse. The Cubs have their regular line-up available and Maddog pitches his 1st game as a 40 year old. Should be interesting.
Look at the following stats: 48AB/.362OB/.250SLG/.229BA/4E/.915FP
41AB/.341OB/.512SLG/.341BA/3E/.942FP
The 1st is Rafael Furcal's #'s at a 9 million dollar salary. The 2nd is Ronnie Cedeno, at 320 thousand. So far the Cubs are getting a better value w/ Cedeno then the Dodgers did when they trumped Hendry's offer to land Furcal. We'll see at the end of the season but I'm happy we got snubbed by the guy who stated it wasn't about the money but chose the team who gave him a little more money, less years and had no manager. Furcal and L.A. will win the division, but we are talking about the NL west. Tonight, the line up needs to be patient with Tomko, the ball doesn't carry well at night. Station to station, give Maddux a breather a few runs and he'll have career win # 321.
