Mark Cuban, can you open up your checkbook?

Michael Sneed of the Sun Times, a "gossip" columnist is reporting today that the Tribune corporation is actively shopping the Cubs. Hey Mark, you stated you'd love to own the Cubs, here is your chance, this is not a losing venture and the people here will adore an active owner who wants to win, not just the bottom line. Imagine him coming to a game with wearing a "Sox Suck" tee shirt. I admit Wrigley is a 3 ring circus as it is, but with Cuban as the ringmaster, a new attitude, could a championship be far far behind? The northside and MLB could use the enthusiasm that Cuban would bring.

The Trib wanting to sell the Cubs??? The Cubs, by most accounts, are a huge moneymaker whether they win or lose. Generally, you don't sell things that are easy money. . .something doesn't wash here.

    Pujols - 3 HR's with one being a walk off = MVP

    From the Sun-Times:

Ramirez hit just .241 in the first month last season. For his career, his .259 average in the opening month is his lowest period when compared to all the other months. He's at .154 so far this month.

Still, Ramirez thinks he was coming along before his injury.

"Even though I wasn't getting hits, I was hitting the ball hard,'' he said. "Everybody is going to have struggles at points in the season, except Albert Pujols.''

Come on. . .even Aramis can see the light (he said Pujols, not Lee). . .give the MVP his props dawg.
